Legislators Give Lift to #BooksForEveryBaby

#BooksForEveryBaby received a big backing from Connecticut legislators on July 6 with the donation of hundreds of books!  Collections were held at the State Capitol and Legislative Office Building over the winter and spring.

Senators Ted Kennedy Jr. (District 12), Martin Looney (Senate President-District 11) and Len Fasano (Senate Minority Leader-District 34) delivered the books to Read to Grow’s office in Branford.

Teri Gavigan, Executive Assistant at General Assembly, organized the collections.

The Branford Elks Club is running a book drive from May 16 – June 18th. Gently-used children’s books can be dropped off in the collection bins located in the upstairs hallway.

The Novel Affair – A Book Fair with Panache

The public is invited to Bill Miller’s Castle in Branford from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4 for a special book fair that offers books, authors and much more.

April 2 — 2nd Annual Festival of Children’s Books in New Haven
