Kids at PAL Camp get books

More than 350 kids at PAL Camp New Haven—run by New Haven Police Athletic League (PAL)—are getting books from Read to Grow! Sgt. Albert McFadden of the New Haven Police Department picked up the books on July 12 from Linda Sylvester at Read to Grow.  The camp, for city kids ages 8-13, runs July 5-August 5. Legislators Give Lift to #BooksForEveryBaby

#BooksForEveryBaby received a big backing from Connecticut legislators on July 6 with the donation of hundreds of books!  Collections were held at the State Capitol and Legislative Office Building over the winter and spring.

Senators Ted Kennedy Jr. (District 12), Martin Looney (Senate President-District 11) and Len Fasano (Senate Minority Leader-District 34) delivered the books to Read to Grow’s office in Branford.

Teri Gavigan, Executive Assistant at General Assembly, organized the collections.
