For the Record

Kids at PAL Camp get books

More than 350 kids at PAL Camp New Haven—run by New Haven Police Athletic League (PAL)—are getting books from Read to Grow! Sgt. Albert McFadden of the New Haven Police Department picked up the books on July 12 from Linda Sylvester at Read to Grow.  The camp, for city kids ages 8-13, runs July 5-August 5. More than a dozen police officers from the New Haven Police Department, Southern Connecticut State University, University of New Haven, and Yale University participate. Camp activities include reading at least 45 minutes a day.  Let’s make sure children of all ages throughout Connecticut are reading, or are being read to! Join the #BooksForEveryBaby campaign.
