Read to Grow’s latest literacy resource on wheels launched in September 2022 and has been on the road distributing thousands of books throughout Connecticut ever since. The Bookmobile doesn’t just transport books, it provides a magical space where children can select their own book to keep and enjoy a read-a-loud on our cozy benches. Children aged 0–7 are the focus of our Bookmobile’s programming, but we can occasionally accommodate stops for older children depending on the need and specific request. The Bookmobile serves all of Connecticut and has the ability to travel to any county and any community; in particular, the Bookmobile prioritizes visits to communities that are under-resourced.
